Our Calming Collars use aromatherapy. The scent of our carefully selected herbal blends has been tested for effectiveness with both dogs and cats. We use only real dried herbs, never essential oils or unnecessary fillers. The specific herbs used are listed on each product page. As your dog or cat smells the natural herbal blend, they often become more relaxed and less stressed.
Our collars are sized by your pet's neck measurement, not by breed. For the best fit, we recommend measuring your dog or cat's neck rather than guessing.
Measure loosely so the collar fits comfortably. Because our collars are filled with herbs, they fit differently than a standard flat collar. If your pet falls between two sizes, we recommend ordering the larger size. This allows for additional herbs and a more comfortable fit.
You can also include your pet's exact neck measurement in the Special Instructions box during checkout, and we'll tailor the collar for the best possible fit.
Most pets do well with our standard two-row (two-channel) collar.
We offer a single-row version, the standard two-row version, and an extra-wide four-row version. Watching our comparison video is the easiest way to see the differences between each style.
For most cats and smaller dogs, we recommend the single-row width.

The lifespan of the herbs depends largely on how often they're exposed to air.
If your pet wears the collar 24/7, the herbs typically remain effective for about 3 to 4 months. If the collar is worn only occasionally and stored in a sealed plastic bag in a cool, dark place when not in use, the herbs may last a year or even longer.
Many customers who use their collars primarily during storm season simply purchase a new one each year. You can also gently roll the collar between your hands to lightly crush the herbs, helping refresh the scent and release more of their natural oils.
The cotton fabric can be spot cleaned with a damp cloth or paper towel.
It's perfectly fine if the herbs become slightly damp, but avoid soaking the collar or submerging it in water.
While we certainly don't recommend allowing your pet to chew on their collar, the herbs are food-grade and are not harmful if ingested. The polymer crystals used in our Too Cool Cooling Collar are also non-toxic.
Although our herbs are not certified organic, they are food-grade quality.
There's an excellent chance it will help. We have experienced better than a 95% success rate with our products.
That said, no product works for every animal or every situation. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, simply email us within 90 days. We'll refund your purchase price with no hassles or arguments.
Yes. Many of our customers leave the collar on their pets around the clock.
The only downside is that continuous exposure to air causes the herbs to lose their scent more quickly, so you can generally expect about 3 to 4 months of use when worn full time.
Yes! Our Calming Collars work well for cats, too.
The biggest challenge is simply getting a cat that isn't accustomed to wearing a collar to keep one on. If your cat is comfortable wearing a collar, they can enjoy the same calming benefits as dogs.
Most cats do best with our single-row width. Our Calming Sachet Sets were also developed with cats specifically in mind.
During the development of our herbal blends, we created a stronger combination of herbs that caused many dogs to simply fall asleep.
The only drawback is that most people find the scent a bit stronger than our standard blends. Because of this, we don't list it as a standard option on our website.
If you're interested, simply request the Extra Strength blend in the comments or Special Instructions box during checkout. We generally don't recommend it for households with sensitive noses.
We can create a collar that combines both our Good To Go and Calm Me Down herbal blends.
This option provides stress relief while also helping with motion sickness in a single collar. You'll find this option available on the Good To Go product page.
